"Eaton Ginkgo" Original Watercolor Painting by Sandy Tyler
Ginkgo is a living fossil. It is the last species of its group and hasn't evolved in millions of years. Its fan shaped leaves twirl as they fall to the ground. A native to China, this one was surprisingly in an Eaton cemetery. The yellow leaves really stood out amongst the orange and red leaves and fading green grass.
This 6" square painting is framed in a handmade pine frame and sealed with Tung Oil. The painting itself was created on FSC certified Aquabord with handmade soil watercolor. It is sealed with a honey and casein fixatif, eliminating the need for glass. There were no harsh chemicals or plastics used in the creation or finishing of this artwork.
Artwork was created by me, Sandy Tyler, in Ohio using the most sustainable materials I could find. Most materials are made by artisans in the USA.
