"Bee and Sunflower" Original Watercolor Painting by Sandy Tyler

On a warm July afternoon, the sun shined through this sunflower. Bees buzzed all around but one really stood out. The sun reflected off its iridescent wings. It flew in a frenzy, full of life and purpose.

This 6" square painting is framed in a handmade pine frame and sealed with Tung Oil. The painting itself was created on FSC certified Aquabord with handmade soil watercolor. It is sealed with a honey and casein fixatif, eliminating the need for glass. There were no harsh chemicals or plastics used in the creation or finishing of this artwork.

Artwork was created by me, Sandy Tyler, in Ohio using the most sustainable materials I could find. Most materials are made by artisans in the USA.
